How and Why did my hair color change by itself?
My hair naturally is a very dark brown close to looking black and now for some reason it has changed to a light caramel color brown and i dont know why or how. It’s the winter so there’s hardly any sun so Im really lost, and how can I change it back without dying it?
If you dont get alot of sun, then the pigment loss is probably linked to your straightening iron or hair dryer. When you use intense heat on hair (somewhat like the sun) the hair shaft opens up and is “blown open” pigment in the hair shaft slowly starts to fade. There is no way to reverse the damage unless you color it, then start using a strong iron protector on your hair. I suggest Alterna Hemp Shine Spray, it is a silicone based hair shaft protectant.
